Lift Urban Portland runs a Food Pantry affiliated with the Oregon Food Bank network of providers.
First Immanuel Lutheran Church
1808 NW Irving Street
Tuesdays and Fridays, noon to 2:00 p.m.
Pantry visitors may visit our choice-based pantry once a month and select from canned goods, and categories of pasta, meats, and produce. Recipients must be within eligible income guidelines, and live at a Northwest Portland address or in the triangle bounded by W Burnside, SW Broadway and SW Market.
Second Wednesday of each month
10:00 - 10:30 am
Lottery for spot in line begins at 9:00 am.
The Harvest Share program provides a limited amount of fresh produce. Harvest Share income and geographic eligibility differ from our Food Pantry requirements.
- In partnership with Lift Urban Portland, five low-income high rise buildings in the area offer an on-site “end of the month mini-pantry” when the need is greatest. Residents can select a few items from a mini-pantry to tide them over until they can get a full box from our pantry, get a box delivered if eligible, or until the first of the month when they receive funds.
- Based on the motto of “waste not, want not” our Community Share program helps get perishable items distributed at various locations in the area. We give bread, pastries, fruits, vegetables and other items weekly to individuals, low-income residences, and a variety of community-based programs.
The pantry is served by TriMet bus lines #15, 18, 20, and 77, and the Portland Streetcar.
