CLOTHING

Seams to Fit giving program

Seams to Fit is an upscale women's consignment boutique, and they receive large volumes of designer clothes from ladies in Portland. Sometimes they are unable to find a buyer for all of the pieces in their storefront, and they give the option to their consignors to pick up unsold items or donate them to charity.

“Many of our consignors choose to do the latter, but we often have high-end, specialty pieces, which might not be appropriate as donations on their own. We thought that it would benefit a charity more directly if we started to work with eBay Giving Works.

“We would then donate 100% of the online sales price to the selected charity. Then MissionFish would issue a check to the participating charity for funds earned. We feel like this would make a more direct contribution to charity, providing funds, not just clothing, to our favorite local programs.”
